Dave Grace is world-renowned expert in financial inclusion and consumer protection issues and serves as Senior Advisor to The Financial Literacy Group. In that role he offers firm clients unique insights on raising people’s level of financial access. As financial education initiatives are frequently part of broader efforts on financial inclusion and consumer protection, Mr. Grace permits the firm to take an integrated approach to projects through collaboration with his fellow consultants.

Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Grace was Senior Vice President for the World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. (WOCCU) where he worked for 14 years. In that role he worked in countries around the world to modernize their financial sector laws and regulations, in addition to advising cooperatives on financial inclusion and consumer protection issues.

He began his career in the management development program of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in a variety of policy, research and operations roles. Mr. Grace co-founded and served as the Secretariat of the International Credit Union Regulators’ Network (ICURN) for 5 years, has represented the international credit union movement in discussions with the G20, the European Union, Basel Committee and International Accounting Standards Board.

Mr. Grace holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis; and graduated with honors from St. Louis University while earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics and International Business. He has lived and studied in Italy and Spain. Mr. Grace is fluent in Spanish and has worked in over 65 countries.
