Upoma Antara Husain is a Program Manager with The Financial Literacy Group. In that role she taps her experience in project management and microfinance.

Most recently Ms. Husain was working on financial inclusion projects in Yangon, Myanmar with BRAC, one of the world’s largest NGOs. She helped BRAC launch a new microfinance program in Myanmar. She primarily worked on developing the business model, analyzing and forecasting financial sustainability, and networking with different stakeholders to find potential partners for collaboration and fundraising. Prior to joining BRAC Myanmar in 2013, she worked for BRAC’s Microfinance program and BRAC Bank’s SME department in Bangladesh.

Ms. Husain holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and is presently pursuing a Masters of Arts in the Global Human Development program at the School of Foreign Services of Georgetown University. She speaks Bengali, French and Burmese.
